Wildlife Sanctuary:
One
of the finest teak forests in the State, and situated very close
to the capital Bhopal, offers an excellent window to the great
wilds of MP. The sanctuary also houses the Bhimbathika cave paintings,
recently declared a World Heritage site. The board intends to
develop this sanctuary as a major wildlife destination for tourists
visiting the Sanchi monastery, another World Heritage Site, and
for the people of Bhopal. The sanctuary offers excellent opportunities
for trekking, camping and biking.
